IEP Advocacy Garden, LLC
Cultivating Progress Together
Introduction
Whitney gained appreciation at an early age for fields related to rehabilitation and therapeutic support due to her father becoming cognitively disabled as the result of an unforeseen event. It allowed her to acquire a wide-lens perspective on impact and an understanding for the significance of collaborative efforts to yield improvements. With distinction, Whitney earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education, and Educational Specialist in Special Education degrees. As a forever learner who is dedicated to ensuring best practices, she is currently pursuing her PhD in Special Education. Whitney has put her passion into practice, serving within the field of exceptional education for well over a decade. She has worked in public and charter school systems in Georgia upholding mandates and aiding students to reach their goals. Prior to establishing the IEP Advocacy Garden, Whitney held certified roles including special educator with experience in elementary-high school across eligibility categories, school/program coordinator, and statewide compliance management team member. In addition to her vast professional experience, Whitney can personally relate to other parents/guardians of children with special needs, as she too has an incredible child with exceptionalities. As a consultant and advocate, Whitney strives to apply her knowledge to assist in gaining the necessary individualization for your unique child so they can take root, grow, and flourish.
